Practice Experience
Paul is an American lawyer with over 30 years experience as a Partner at leading law firms in the U.S. His distinguished career has been based in New York City as a Partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius and LeBoeuf, Lamb, Leiby & MacRae (Dewey & LeBoeuf). He moved to Thailand in 1992 and founded Pacific Legal Group (PLG) an international multidisciplinary firm based in Bangkok with lawyers, pharmacists and agronomists on its staff. As Managing Director of PLG for 17 years he represented leading U.S., European and Asian life science, pharmaceutical, food, medical device, animal and agri-health, cosmetic and biotechnology companies in every aspect of the regulatory sphere relating to the Thai FDA and Department of Agriculture. In August 2008, PLG merged with Tilleke & Gibbins International Ltd. where Paul served as Of Counsel. Now Of Counsel at Timblick & Partners, Paul draws upon his extensive healthcare and life science experience to advise clients in diverse industries in every aspect of the regulatory sphere relating to the healthcare and life science fields.
Paul also engages in a number of community service initiatives, including targeted advocacy and education campaigns on healthcare and life science rights in Asia. He is the founder and Co-Chairman of the Healthcare Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce and is a Director of the AMCHAM Thailand Charitable Foundation. He is widely regarded as an expert in the healthcare and life sciences fields by leading publications such as the Practical Law Co. Cross Border Life Science Handbook, 2008, 2008–2009 and 2009–2010.
